Time to Invest

I finally setup a brokerage account. I’m 27, and it seems like this is as good of a time than any to go ahead and invest in the market. Lately, I’ve been able to put more money away in my bank savings account. I noticed that it was hardly appreciating any, and figured that I could be doing more to facilitate growth.

I plan on starting out with some mutual funds. Then, once I become more familiar with how it all works, possibly get into stocks.

It’s exciting getting started. I signed up on Sunday, and have been in the process of getting my checking account hooked into it so that I can automatically transfer money over every month to invest. There are many benefits from doing this, and since I have a steady job, it seems like a no brainer.

If you are in a similar position, (i.e. you have a salary job and some money in a bank savings account) go ahead and just dive in to the market. Go to someplace like scotttrade.com or schwab.com. They have plently of information and advice to help your money grow. Do it now. The longer you wait, the more you’ll regret it.
